But Jesus didn’t call us to a convenient faith. He called us to carry our cross. Luke 9:23 – “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”
That’s not a casual invitation, it’s a costly one. And yet, in our generation, “truth” is often traded for “tolerance.” Conviction is often dismissed as judgment. But here’s the thing: truth doesn’t stop being truth just because culture changes.
We’re told in John 8:32, “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” But truth can’t set you free if you avoid it to stay comfortable.
So what does a Kingdom lens say?
It says obedience is more important than popularity.
It says holiness still matters.
It says you can’t follow Jesus and cling to everything He died to free you from.
